About the Journal

Pappasang is a journal published by Department of the Qur'anic Studies and Tafseer, Faculty of Usuluddin, Adab and Dakwah (UAD), STAIN Majene. The journal is published twice annually (June and Desember) to encourage and promote the study of the Quran-Hadith, Islam and Contemporary Thought designed to facilitate scholarly dialogue. All the articles published in this journal have a unique DOI number with a prefix 10.46870. The journal has been accredited by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic Indonesia SINTA 2 grade since Vol 6 No 2 (2024) to Vol 11 No 1 (2029) according to SK DirJen Riset Nomor 295/C/C3/KPT/2026.

Focus : to provide readers with a better understanding of Islamic Studies and present developments through the publication of articles and book reviews

Scopes : a journal concern on Quran and Hadith Studies such as the Living Qur’an, the Qur’an and Social Culture, thoughts of figures about the Qur'anic Studies, the Exegesis Studies and etc.; Similarly, matters relating to the Hadith, the Hadith Studies, Living Hadith, Hadith and Social Culture, thoughts of figures about hadith and etc.; Islam and Contemporary Thought; Islamic Philosophy
