Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of growth mindset and fixed mindset on the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of Islamic Education (PAI) students at STAIN Majene. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 87 students were selected as respondents using a non-probability convenience sampling technique. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression tests. The results indicate a significant influence of mindset on GPA achievement. Students with a growth mindset demonstrated higher GPAs, as they believe that intelligence can be developed through the learning process. Conversely, students with a fixed mindset tended to obtain lower GPAs, as they view ability as a static innate talent, which consequently limits their motivation to exert effort.
